About Up Ankle

OUR Story
Up Ankle was born out of real experience — on the field, in the training room, and through years of hands-on learning.
Soccer has been part of the founder’s life since the age of five, continuing through college while earning a degree in Kinesiology. During that time, countless hours were spent in athletic training rooms — sometimes as an intern, sometimes as the injured athlete on the table.
One injury appeared again and again: the ankle sprain.
While often considered “minor,” ankle sprains commonly come with stubborn swelling that collects around the joint. Standard recovery advice — rest, ice, compression, and elevation — is familiar to athletes everywhere. But in practice, the compression piece frequently falls short. Traditional wraps and sleeves apply even pressure, but they don’t address the unique shape of the ankle or the areas where swelling tends to concentrate.
Seeing this challenge repeatedly — in athletes and personally — sparked a simple question:
What if compression could be more targeted, without being bulky or complicated?
That question led to the development of Up Ankle — a contoured foam insert designed to support focused compression around the ankle. What began as a personal experiment evolved into a product built to fit seamlessly into real recovery routines.
Today, Up Ankle represents more than a product. It’s the solution the founder wished existed as an athlete — and a tool designed for the next generation of active individuals, trainers, and professionals who value thoughtful, practical support.

The Science Behind Up Ankle
Up Ankle is designed to complement commonly used recovery practices by enhancing the compression component of ankle support.
The ankle joint has a complex shape, with natural contours and bony landmarks that make uniform compression difficult. Flat wraps and sleeves often apply pressure evenly, which can miss areas where swelling commonly gathers around the joint.
Up Ankle’s contoured foam design helps address this challenge by:
- Supporting focused compression around the ankle
- Conforming to the natural anatomy of the joint
- Range of motion and movement is increased by trapping the swelling along the long bones of the leg.
When used as part of a broader recovery routine, the foam insert helps support comfort and mobility by directing compression to areas that need it most — without rigid bracing or bulky equipment.
Up Ankle is intended to support everyday activity and recovery routines and is not a replacement for professional medical care.
Why CHoose Up Ankle
Designed With Purpose
Up Ankle isn’t a generic pad or sleeve. Its shape is intentionally contoured to fit the ankle, allowing compression to be applied more thoughtfully where traditional solutions often fall short.
Simple by Design
The foam insert is easy to use, easy to reposition, and integrates naturally with commonly used compression wraps or sleeves — no complex systems or special equipment required.
Comfort-Focused
The foam material is designed to soften and conform over time, helping it sit comfortably during movement and rest without feeling bulky or restrictive.
Built From Real Experience
Created by someone who has lived the problem — as an athlete and a kinesiology-trained professional — Up Ankle is grounded in real-world use, not theory alone.
